Sarah Palin: Not A Friend of Gays

As more news of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, the Republican Vice Presidential nominee, is made known, one thing for sure: she is not a friend to the LGBT Community.

Palin's church is promoting a conference vowing to convert gays into heterosexuals through prayer. A insert in the church bulletin said, "You'll be encouraged by the power of God's love and His desire to transform the lives of those impacted by homosexuality..." (Interesting how this church knows what "God's desire" is). The goal is to "pray away the gay."

It was also noted that Palin has not worked very well in promoting gay rights in Alaska. As a matter of fact, early in her administration she supported a bill to overrule a court decision to block state benefits for gay partners of public employees. Palin only changed her opinion when the state attorney general said it was unconstitutional.

This lady seems to have been embraced by the Republican party, especially the Christian right, almost heralded as the new Messiah. I think she's very scary.

And as for her down syndrome child... she also cut special education funding by 62%.

The Huffington Post says she's George Bush in drag.

Well, she's rich enough to pay for a private school. SCREW the poor folk!

It's beginning to look like McCain was behind in the polls only because he wasn't extreme enough in his right-wing view. Now that Sally P. has been added to the ticket, the country loves him. Not sure I want to live here anymore.
